That said, error pennies are generally a sought after specimen. Taking your 1944 as an example, it could be worth anywhere from a few dollars to a few hundred dollars.     I don't write reviews, but with this company, I just had to. The sales guy was a true gentleman that cared about my interests, talked me out of a bad purchase even though it was good for him as apparently the smaller coins come with more of a mark up.   • Hello I have a Lincoln cent 1944 no mint so philly, and it's a DDO now I know there's no known examples so what are that chances that it is? And what would you think the value of a 1944 (p) DDO penny would be?

    Is this penny a double die? It has what appears to have doubling on the nose, lips, and chin and the 1 and the 9 have what appears to be doubling.
