Hello, I am new to this. I found a 1942 no mint mark penny, with an interesting error. It looms like it was struck over another coin and the liberty is crooked. Any thoughts on what this is and value if any?
Your images are not showing, but it is most likely that your coin is a double-struck or double-dye wheat penny. Double-dye coins can feature partially duplicated images caused by errors in the original mold while double-struck coins are actually stuck twice. You should take the coin to a local coin shop for more information.
