I have a 1944 wheat penny that sticks to a magnet. It also has a rim around it. Do you think it is worth anything?

Personally to me..
it looks like some tried to make a piece of jewelry out of this coin, the extra metal around the rim is why it's sticks to a magnet,
I'd take the scrap metal off carefully and try the magnet again
