Q&A for 1971 Eisenhower Dollar started by

From the Info Sheet
Hello Josh,

I have several Eisenhower silver dollars. They 'mounted' in plastic and then in brown packaging. It looks like a tiny s above 1971. I think they have been in a safe since purchase.

What can I do with them? Where would I go to sell them...or are they something to hold on to and pass along to younger family members?

Thank you for any info or guidance you may share.
Regards, Christine

Hello, Christine --

Brown pack Eisenhower dollars are generally worth $7 to $15+ each, depending on the year and individual condition. This may or may not be a value that in your opinion warrants selling them.

I can tell you as a collector that I think they may great heirlooms and could help inspire the younger ones to collect coins. If you do decide to sell them, you should look for a coin dealer near you.

Here's a link to a searchable (non-exhaustive) list of reputable coin dealers across the United States: https://www.pngdealers.org/af_memberdirectory.asp

Good luck,
Josh
