The American Numismatic Association (ANA) is the world’s largest and most popular organization for those who study and appreciate coins. Some 28,000 members belong to the ANA, which began in 1891 and received a Congressional charter in 1912.
There are many benefits to becoming an ANA member, including a subscription to the long-running magazine, The Numismatist, which is available online and in print. Members also receive access to some of the finest numismatic education programs in the United States; direct submission privileges to NGC, NCS, and PMG; use of the extensive Dwight N. Manly Numismatic Library; discounts on coin supplies, services, and numismatic publications; free admission to the Edward C. Rochette Money Museum in Colorado Springs, CO; and direct access to members-only content on Money.org. The ANA also holds huge conventions around the United States each year, so be sure to attend one if you can. While the ANA is located in Colorado Springs, CO, the group has a huge online presence, and there are many affiliated clubs around the United States. There is a simple online form that can be filled out by individuals wishing to join the ANA.
