Have this dime not sure if missing clad layer?.. weighs 2.4 and it's like this on both sides with core being more in diameter.. thoughts
It looks like it has been ground down on the edge. You can see the chamfer in the photograph. That is what was meant by "altered".
What does "altered" mean... Something chemical, man made, I'm just a girl with 10 cents asking for 2.
It's difficult to tell from the photo but it has definitely been altered. Are you asking just for collectible reasons? Because the dime itself is worth.... a dime.
