The American Numismatic Association (ANA) is the world’s largest and most popular organization for those who study and appreciate coins. Some 28,000 members belong to the ANA, which began in 1891 and received a Congressional charter in 1912.

There are many benefits to becoming an ANA member, including a subscription to the long-running magazine, The Numismatist, which is available online and in print. Members also receive access to some of the finest numismatic education programs in the United States; direct submission privileges to NGC, NCS, and PMG; use of the extensive Dwight N. Manly Numismatic Library; discounts on coin supplies, services, and numismatic publications; free admission to the Edward C. Rochette Money Museum in Colorado Springs, CO; and direct access to members-only content on Money.org.

The ANA also holds huge conventions around the United States each year, so be sure to attend one if you can.

While the ANA is located in Colorado Springs, CO, the group has a huge online presence, and there are many affiliated clubs around the United States.

There is a simple online form that can be filled out by individuals wishing to join the ANA.

Various levels of ANA membership are available, but to join and receive print editions of The Numismatist, membership rates are the following:

• Adult membership for those ages 18 to 64 is $46 per year
• Young numismatists between the ages of 5 and 17 can join for $26 annually
• Senior membership for individuals 65 and over is $41 each year
• Spouse, domestic partner, and lifetime memberships are available

The Central Florida Coin Club is a non-profit organization dating from 1955 and is one of the most active coin clubs in North America.

CFCC holds bi-monthly meetings at the Marks Street Senior Center in downtown Orlando, Florida. It also hosts a spring and fall coin show each year at the Central Florida Fair Grounds as well as occasional picnics and parties.

This historical club is active in the education process of schools and the rest of the community through talks and awareness meetings, promoting the history and enjoyment of numismatic coin collecting, buying and selling.

Adult membership is $20 per year and checks must be made payable to CFCC. The form can also be presented at any club meeting, held every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month. The 90-minute meetings begin promptly at 7:15 PM.
