As I commented on my previous post to you, your 1891 double eagle, if authentic, could be worth $20-30,000 or more as it appears to be a Philadelphia issue. However, authentication is required to ensure it's the real deal and did not have its mintmark removed from below the eagle.

American coins is not my subject, when I was told that the person needs money and wants to sell the coin, I did not know anything about the coin double eagle. I felt sorry for that if this coin can get uncomprehending people and can go to the smelter for jewelry. Today will address in ANACS but I do not know from a distance if they can give an accurate estimate. I am in Moscow, where once showed colleagues a hobby numismatists who understands American coins, they posmotrevli catalog Krause, were surprised by the good sostoaniem and 1891 that without the letter is written everywhere rare. After reviewing their website I realized I have the coin to send them in the mail, maybe in America it's possible but from Moscow mail to send the coin and wait it will come, or it will return from the world of fiction ...rather unrealistic... It is a pity that they have no representation in Russia I would have appealed to them. I collect coins of Armenia and when I was in Armenia this coin showed my friend who works at the Central Bank of Armenia, the expert numismatic products, he said that the coin is 100% was authentic, but the real score can give us experts.
