Found in a roll of 1959-D halves. It appears to be a D over S. Can anyone help with this?Post is under moderationStream item published successfully. Item will now be visible on your stream.

The "S" mintmark was not being used in 1959 and also there is no listing for such a piece on any variety database. The notch under the top of the "D" looks more like a die chip than a mintmark, especially given the shape of the anomaly and its placement.
Die chips may add a nominal amount of additional value to a coin, depending on the severity of the chip, location of the chip, and demand for said issue. Your piece is worth perhaps $10 to $12.
