Although, the other 1942 penny weighs 3.07 grams. I'm thinking it probably weighs a tad bit more because of the wear. A 1942 Lincoln cent should weigh about 3.11 grams. While there are slight variances to the tolerated weight, 3.30 grams sounds prettyHello, Taz ---
A 1942 Lincoln cent should weigh about 3.11 grams. While there are slight variances to the tolerated weight, 3.30 grams sounds pretty high. I wonder if your coin has a coating of some kind on it, such as epoxy or another material. Does your coin appear different from others?
If you wouldn't mind posting a photo of this coin here I'd be glad to take a look.
Best wishes,
